Natural Factors Urinary Flow Formula is a synergistic blend of standardized herbs historically used to support urinary health and promote urine flow. This unique formula gently supports the body's cleansing system by helping the kidneys and bladder to flush away waste. We combine a standardized extract of Uva Ursi, helpful to the kidneys, with potassium-rich Dandelion leaf extract, an herb that gently promotes urine flow while it replaces lost electrolytes. Juniper Berry is valued for kidney and bladder support. Nutrient-dense Parsley root powder prevents salt from reabsorption and both Parsley and Cranberry juice extract help the body to flush away waste. It helps flush out excess fluid from the body, thus supporting kidney function. It acts as a diuretic which stimulates the bladder, liver, kidney, digestive system, thyroid and stomach to work efficiently.

Q.How does Parsley work?
A. Parsley might help stimulate the appetite, improve digestion, increase urine production, reduce spasms, and increase menstrual flow.

Q.What is parsley?
A.Parsley is an herb. The leaf, seed, and root are used to make medicine. Be careful not to confuse parsley with fool's parsley and parsley piert.

Q.What is Cranberry?
A.Cranberry is a small, evergreen shrub grown throughout North America. Cranberry has a long history of use among native American Indian tribes, primarily for treating urinary conditions. Juice and extracts from the fruit (berry) are used as medicine.

Q.What are the uses of Cranberry?
A.Preventing urinary tract infections (UTIs). Research shows that drinking cranberry juice cocktail can help prevent repeated UTIs in older women andpregnant women. Additional research shows that drinking cranberry juice can also help prevent UTIs in hospitalized patients. Some clinical research also supports the use of cranberry-containing capsules for preventing repeated UTIs.

Q.How does Cranberry work?
A.People used to think that cranberry worked for urinary tract infections by making the urine acidic and, therefore, unlikely to support the growth of bacteria. But researchers don’t believe this explanation any more. They now think that some of the chemicals in cranberries keep bacteria from sticking to the cells that line the urinary tract where they can multiply. Cranberry, however, does not seem to have the ability to release bacteria which are already stuck to these cells. This may explain why cranberry is possibly effective in preventing urinary tract infections. Cranberry, as well as many other fruits and vegetables, contains significant amounts of salicylic acid, which is an important ingredient in aspirin. Drinking cranberry juice regularly increases the amount of salicylic acid in the body. Salicylic acid can reduce swelling, prevent blood clots, and can have antitumor effects.

Q.Does cranberry juice really help prevent urinary tract infections?
A.Cranberry juice has been traditionally used to prevent and treat urinary tract infections.  It is thought to help prevent bacteria from adhering to the walls of the urinary tract.  One recent study indicates that cranberry juice is good for preventing urinary tract infections. Cranberry juice may also have antioxidant and anticancer properties.  Research is ongoing.

Q.Where does white cranberry juice come from?
A.White cranberry juice was introduced into the market in 2001, and is made from regular cranberries which are harvested about three weeks early, after they are mature, but before they turn red.

Q. What is the best way to freeze cranberries?
A.If you buy cranberries in a plastic bag, the bag can go directly into the freezer. Bulk cranberries can be frozen in a freezer bag or freezer container.  Cranberries will last up to nine months in the freezer. Frozen cranberries can be used in recipes without thawing; since frozen berries will be soft when thawed, it is easier to chop or grind them while frozen.
